If the database you want to monitor is on a Windows based PC, SSH must be installed on that machine (see Install Guide)
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 or higher is required (download from
java.sun.com)

Brother-Thoroughbred® Integration
Brother-Panther now integrates with Brother-Thoroughbred.
Brother-Thoroughbred can be launched in context from any Brother-Panther performance panel. In addition, Brother-Thoroughbred can drill into a
Brother-Panther statement performance panel to reveal the statements behind the transaction data - the statements that are causing SLAs to be
missed!
Computed Metrics Displayed as Decimals
The performance panels of the Brother-Panther Client Console now display computed metrics as decimals with fractional significant digits to the
right of the decimal point. This provides additional accuracy to the computed metric values.
Multiple Statement Design Analysis
The statement performance panel now supports the ability to select multiple statements and perform a DB2 design analysis. Simply use standard
Windows methods to select multiple statements, click the right-mouse button, and select Design Analysis from the pop-up menu item. This feature is invaluable for Data Warehouse and OLTP database performance optimization!
Aggregated Buffer Pool Performance Panel
In the same manner as tablespace, table, and statement performance panels, the buffer pool performance panel now aggregates performance data over
a user-specified timeframe.
Expert Advice
The same expert advice available in Brother-Eagle® for DB2 LUW is now available from all client console performance panels. Simply click the
right-mouse button on a performance column header label. If expert advice is available, Expert Advice will be listed in the pop-up menu. Click
this menu item and a web browser will be launched with the selected expert advice in context.
Performance Trend Refresh
To allow the user to display the latest performance data, a refresh button has been added to the Performance Trend display dialog.
View Next/Previous Changes
To facilitate reviewing changes over time, a "Next" and "Previous" button has been added to the configuration change dialog. When the user clicks
"Next" the next change event that occurred after the current one will be displayed. Likewise, when the user clicks "Previous," the previous change
event that occurred before the current one will be displayed.
Password Change Policy Support
In support of password change policies, you can now change data collector passwords on a periodic basis via the Admin Tool.
Delete Collector
The Admin Tool now supports the ability to delete a managed server data collector from the repository. This may be needed to reinstall a collector
or remove an obsolete collector. To delete a collector, go to the Collectors panel, highlight the collector to be deleted and click the [Delete
Collector] toolbar button.
Delete License Keys
The Admin Tool now supports the ability to delete license keys. This is typically used to delete expired trial keys. Simply bring up the License
Key Management dialog, select the license key to be deleted, and click the [Delete Key] button.
High Availability Cluster Multi-Processing Support
IBM AIX High Availability Cluster Multi-Processing (HACMP) network environments are now supported with the addition of a new data collector
dbimgr.cfg parameter for overriding the server name. This will allow an HACMP environment to specify the alias used in the db2nodes.cfg instead of
the underlying node name.
Use an Existing Database for the Performance Repository
On UNIX and Linux you can now use an existing database to contain the DBI performance repository. Further, you can customize the buffer pools and
tablespaces used. This helps adhere to customer established naming and structural database standards.
Additional Collector Configuration Directives
The DBI Collector now supports some additional configuration directives via a CFG file that can be used to govern the statement collection. It is
possible for the customer to put a limit on the volume of statement data collected by controlling the MAXFILES configuration.
