Please consult the product release notes for complete details "Ready for BLU!" Brother-Panther adds full support for DB2 V10.5, plus adds
a number of exciting customer requested enhancements.
Stored Procedure Performance
No longer are poorly performing statements contained within procedures hidden from analysis! For DB2 v9.7.5 and above, this release captures procedure
statement performance data and stores it in the repository for subsequent display and analysis.
New Current Activity Displays
Sometimes a DBA just needs to see what is happening now and resolve issues in real time... With this release you can view the current application, SQL,
and locking activity for any monitored DB2 database, version 9.7.5 and above. These displays are easily accessible off the main DB Score panel.
Lock Contention
With this display you can clearly see any locking contention in a database and take steps to resolve them in real-time.
SQL Activity
This display allows you to see what SQL statements are currently running and take steps to analyze and improve their performance. The information can be
displayed in one of three ways - by CPU consumption, I/O resource usage, and by execution time. The display can be configured to auto-refresh as well.
Applications
This display allows you to see what applications are currently running in a database. In addition you can see what SQL statement is being executed by an
application and take steps to analyze and improve its performance. The display can be configured to auto-refresh as well.
Last Used Default Schema
The default schema that was last specified by a user is now remembered and used in subsequent explains and physical design requests. A default schema is
saved for each database and is unique to each user of the product.
New DBM and DB Configuration Displays
Two new tabs have been added to the profile configuration panel to show current database manager and database configuration settings for a selected
database.
Fast Path to Statement Compare from Database Compare
Added the ability to traverse from the "Database Compare Workload" panel directly to the "Statement Compare Workload" panel for the same timeframes. This
eliminates the need to re-enter the before and sfter timeframes for the statement compare panel.
Multi-User Workspace Enhancement
Multiple employees sharing the same secure machine will have their user-specific settings respected. This is typically useful in environments using
Citrix.
New Edit functions for Execute SQL Panel
The Execute SQL editor has been enhanced to include useful edit functions.
